A 25-year-old man has pleaded guilty to raping a girl of 13 at a mid-Wales town during the weekend of a fancy dress festival.
Alexander Meyer, of Church Road, Sandford on Thames, Oxford, of previous good character, also admitted sexual activity with the child on July 4 when he appeared before Caernarfon crown court. His barrister said he had also been committed by magistrates for sentencing in connection with indecent images.

Judge Merfyn Hughes QC remanded him in custody until September 15 for a pre-sentence report.

Dyfed Powys Police set up a major incident room after the attack close to St Idloes Church at Llanidloes. They issued a description of a man in a dressing gown and sandals.
