A MID Wales man has become one of Britain's youngest victims of Variant CJD.
Alan Michael Jones, 20, who was married to Holly Jones, and lived at Severnside Cottages in Newtown, died in Aberystwyth on June 12 from variant Creutzfeld-Jacobs Disease (commonly known as 'mad cow disease').
Alan was first taken into hospital in Stoke on February 14, the first anniversary of his marriage and after attending a family funeral.
His family were concerned after his speech became slurred and his right arm was paralysed. They suspected he had suffered a stroke.
