RHAYADER boss Dylan McPhee is facing up to a serious injury crisis as his side prepares to host Rhos Aelwyd.

McPhee revealed that he is currently without a keeper for the match, with both Ian Havard and Barry Evans side-lined with injury.

Thomas Rockanewski played in goal for the 4-0 loss against Rhyl last Saturday and could be forced to don the gloves again.

There are further headaches for Rhayader with defenders Glenn Evans and Robbie Steele both suspended, forcing McPhee to bring midfielders Christian Jones and Tom Evans into the back line.

However despite the problems McPhee said: “We have got to get a win, especially with Guilsfield winning mid week.

“It’s a home game and if we play like we did last Saturday we’ll be alright. It’s a shame that we’re missing Glenn and Robbie, they’re both good players but we’ve got to keep going, there’s no use feeling sorry for ourselves.”

Meanwhile Technogroup Welshpool host Rhyl and manager Chris Herbert has revealed he will ring the changes after a disappointing 2-1 loss to Cefn Druids in midweek.

He said: “I am going to make a few changes, I’d kept the same side from Saturday for the midweek game, but we had to change it round in the second half and we looked a lot better, so I’ll be looking at bringing some of the other lads in.”

He added: “I want three points. We have got the side to do it now and there should be no excuses. I don’t see these are teams we should be getting beat by, we’re up with anyone squad-wise.”

Caersws travel to Llandudno and boss Mickey Evans is expecting another tough game.

There’s mixed team news for the Bluebirds with Ritchie Evans back in contention following suspension, but Geraint Lewis will be unavailable due to his suspension.
Evans said: “It’s going to be a hard game like we’ve had everywhere else this season.”

Evans added he was pleased with his side’s 4-2 win against Ruthin but warned that his side is still looking to hit their stride after a frustrating period of cancellations over the past couple of months.

He said: “We looked much more like our old selves in the second half, but the time we have had off has done us no favours. Hopefully now we can get a run of games and get some momentum going.”

Guilsfield meanwhile look for their second win in the space of a week and their first at home as they host Cefn Druids.

The Guils will be missing Chris Roberts with a thigh injury and Tom Coulson with a knee problem, but Adam Jenkins will be available for selection.

Manager Russell Cadwallader is hoping his side can build on their 4-2 win away at Penrhyncoch.

He said: “They’re top two so it’ll be a very difficult game, but if we play as we did last night we have got a chance. If we play like that we can beat anyone in this league.”
