LLANIDLOES Town completed a 4-0 Wednesday night derby victory over Rhayader Town to book a place in the quarter-finals of the Central Wales Cup.

Adrian Foulkes broke the deadlock from a long Nefyn Savage throw inside a minute, and doubled his tally on half-time.

Llanidloes continued to dominate after the interval with Gregg Brown completing a breakaway to cement victory.

Substitute Gareth Jones netted in injury-time to set up a quarter-final clash at home to another Huws Gray Alliance side, Guilsfield.

Elsewhere Caersws bounced back from their weekend drubbing at Flint Town United, in a 3-1 victory over ambitious Berriew.

Scott Williams’ early opener was cancelled out by ex-Bluebird Mark Probert, who headed home Will Thomas’ free-kick on the hour.

With the tie in the balance, the home side capitalised with two goals in the last 10 minutes.

Mattie Davies opened his account to restore Caersws’ lead, before Mark Griffiths ensured a place in the last eight and a trip to Penrhyncoch.

Elsewhere in the draw Rhosgoch Rangers entertain Llansanffraid Village.
Meanwhile holders Waterloo Rovers take on Carno, with the winner taking on Llanrhaeadr or Montgomery Town in the last eight.
