BERRIEW survived a Llanidloes Town fightback to take three vital points in their pursuit of the Division One title.
Ambitious Llanidloes took the lead with an early penalty from Gareth Mansell, after Adrian Foulkes was barged by Ian Jones.
However Berriew stormed ahead with two goals in as many minutes after the break, with parity restored by Will Thomas' penalty on the hour.
Then a minute later Martyn Ziemann and Adam Williams set up Ian Probert to fire Berriew ahead.
Ziemann swivelled home Jon Gamble's cross as Berriew established a brief cushion, before Llani responded through Mansell.
Berriew were not to be denied and were awarded a second penalty with player-manager Neil Pryce on target after Thomas had been felled.
The Rhiewsiders added a fifth with a firm header from Mark Probert.
