GETHIN Davies revelled on the wing, with a brace of tries to inspire Builth Wells to a fifth consecutive win in the league.
Head coach Jeremy Pugh was delighted that his side’s remarkable turn around since the New Year continued on a bleak afternoon in a wind-swept Port Talbot.
“The lads deserve praise,” said Pugh. “They have taken on board their failings from the first half of the season and are working hard in training and on the pitch.”
Both sides struggled with the conditions in the first half before the Bulls opened the scoring when they pounced on a Quins mistake in midfield, with Andy Garrod releasing Mike Powell who powered over in the corner.
Wayne Morris was yellow carded with the Quins converting the resultant penalty, but despite being reduced to 14 men the visitors played their best rugby of the day.
They converted the territory and possession into points, through two well executed drop goals from centre Luke Davies.
The start of the second half was a turgid one, until wing star Gethin Davies scored two tries with the Bulls also celebrating a penalty try.
Builth Wells continued to press with a forceful run from Mike Powell setting up Huw Thomas to drive over for the bonus point, with Rob Lloyd converting to celebrate the birth of his second child in style.
