WELSHPOOL Town Council and Oldford Communities First have funded a “simple but potentially life-saving” new scheme.
The two organisations have together allocated enough money for every resident in Welshpool to be given a life-saving emergency pot (pictured right).
The pot contains two stickers – to go on the inside of the front and back door of your house– and a form for the owner to complete with all of his/her medical details.
The pot is then to be kept in the fridge for safekeeping until needed.
“If a paramedic arrives at your home and sees a sticker on the inside of your door they will know there is a medical form with the details of all the people in the house kept in a pot in the fridge,” said Robert Robinson, clerk of Welshpool Town Clerk.
“The idea is simple, but potentially life-saving.”
Communities First have allocated the money for the residents of Oldford and Welshpool Town Council have allocated the money for the rest of the town’s residents.
