Kerry 3 Meifod 2

JAMES Bevan’s young guns overcame the stern challenge of Meifod to cap a superb Bank Holiday by topping division two.

Dyfrig Rees had given the home side the lead in the final game of the groundhop weekend.

However teenage Meifod striker Phil Hughes levelled with a sweetly met 20 yarder before half-time.

Kerry regained the lead after the break with the inform Elliott Jones and Matt Mumford adding to their season accounts.

Meifod reduced the arrears at the death with Phil Hughes completing his brace but it was just consolation for the visitors.
