TWO men have been arrested following a burglary at Coed-y-Dinas in Welshpool this morning (Thursday).

Police were alerted by a security company at approximately 12.25am, on Thursday, August 26, of an ongoing burglary at Coed y Dinas and immediately attended and arrested two males, aged 29 and 23.

The males were both from the Wrexham area and will remain in custody for the time being.

DI Diane Davies told the County Times: "I would urge members of the public to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity.

"We will continue to carry out operations to tackle burglaries and other offences committed by travelling criminals to send out a clear message that they are not welcome in this area.

"Although we have two in custody I would appeal for anyone who has information that could help the investigation to contact police immediately on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
