THIS year’s Montgomery Show will be taking place on Saturday, August 21, at the picturesque Lymore Meadow.
The event will feature a raft of entertainment for all the family, ranging from the stunning Wye Valley Axemen to an equally impressive falconry display.
The first activities of the day will be the judging of exhibits, which will take place at 10.15am before the procession of the carnival and floats to the showground at 12.30pm.
The show will be opened at 12.45pm by this year’s presidents Peter and Carolyn Stewart.
The crowning of the Carnival Queen, Lucia Davies, and the presentations will take place at 1.45pm and 3.45pm.
Visitors can enjoy a number of different activities including a falconry display at 2pm, Mr Happy & Mrs Giggles & Circus Skills Workshop start at 2.15pm and 3.30pm.
Children’s Sports will kick off at 2.30pm along with the Dog Show judging at 2.30pm and 4.15pm.
Dog & Ducks will be on at 3pm and the Wye Valley Axemen at 4.30pm.
The Potato in a Bucket Competition will be on 4.30pm and then the payment of prize money at 5.30pm, as well as the presentation of cups, medals and certificates. Admission costs £4 for adults (pre-show sales, £3.50), senior citizens and children, £2.
The Neil Howells Memorial Race and Fun Run will also be taking place the day before the show.
The event takes place on Friday, August 20, with the main race starting at 7.15pm and the fun run beginning at 6.15pm.
