RUTHIN’S brave new era will begin away from Cae Ddol in September.
The Blues, now under the direction of director of rugby Russ Penrhyn-Jones and first team coach John Tudor, will open their SWALEC League Division One (North) season at Bro Ffestiniog on September 4.
Ruthin’s final appointments to the 2010-11 senior coaching and support team have been finalised with the appointment of John Meldrum as club captain, Leah Hughes as physiotherapist and Jim Salisbury as head coach of the youth team.
Dinbych, who were relegated from Division One (North) last season, have a testing Denbighshire derby to welcome them back to life in Division Two (North).
Russ Rowlands’ side will entertain Rhyl, who could well figure in the promotion mix come the end of the season.
Bala went close to gaining promotion from Division Two last time out and the Maes Gwyniad side open the season with a derby trip to Dolgellau.
In the newly formed Division Three (North), Llangollen have home advantage to start the season with Harlech providing the opposition at Tower Fields.
