A TRAIN from Cardiff Central train station to the Royal Welsh Show is running again this year.

The service will allow showgoers from south Wales to easily attend the event, which takes place from Monday July 19, to Thursday, July 22.

The Arriva Trains Wales service will depart from Cardiff Central station, calling at Bridgend and Port Talbot before traveling direct to the Heart of Wales line, stopping at all stations from Pontarddulais to Builth Road rail station. Other timetabled services on the Heart of Wales line will operate as normal.

The price for the rail fare is £20.20 return from Cardiff, and normal Railcard and child discounts apply.

For visitors to the show arriving by train, a discounted admission ticket is available from Arriva Trains Wales that allows travel to and from the showground plus admission.

The discounted admission ticket price for the Royal Welsh will be £18 for an adult and £4 for children.

A free shuttle bus service will provide a link between the rail station and the showground.
