ELLIE Goulding, who wowed everyone, including Prince William, at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, is embarking on a nationwide tour later this year.

The singer-songwriter, from Kington, has  gathered a huge following since the release of her smash hit single, Starry Eyed, which has sold nearly 350,000 copies.

Her latest single, Guns and Horses, went straight into the top 40 and her debut album, Lights, has sold almost 200,000 copies since its release in February.

Ellie will take to the road in October/ November for a 21-date headline tour of the UK, her biggest to date.

All her UK shows in the first half of 2010 have completely sold out so the tour offers an opportunity for fans that may have missed out earlier in the year to catch her superb live show.

She will play Manchester Academy on November 3 (0161 832 1111/www.gigsandtours. com) and Liverpool University on November 10 (0151 256 5555/ www.gigsandtours.com).
