AFTER two excellent wins we faced another trip to the west coast to face LA Chivas in another big game. We were unbeaten and they were yet to win.
We were pretty confident going into the game but as you know in football that is never the case. Sadly we lost by 2-0 after a off-day by the boys.
This league never amazes me as everyone seems to beat each other, but it's important you get off to a good start.
We must make sure we now bounce back from this defeat.
I was again unable to travel but I did get my knee drained and it feels a lot better so I'm stepping up training this week. In our next two matches we face Dallas at home and Philadelphia Union - the new expansion team.
Last weekend after watching our boys lose 2-0 I then watched 'El Classico'.
There are not many words left to explain Messi as a player - as the boy is on top form at the moment. I cannot wait till the World Cup to see him perform on the centre stage. Barcelona beat Real Madrid by two goals - although it could have been a lot more too.
Finally the third match of the day I watched was New England v Toronto. Toronto lost Julian de Guzman before the game through illness and that was a big blow.
They went on to lose the game by 4-1 as Preki continues to reshape his team.
Chelsea will meet Portsmouth in the FA Cup final after Avram Grant produded wonders against Spurs. Talk about having a tough year, well it could end up with a FA Cup trophy - although Chelsea will hope to stop that while winning the double.
As with me training and being away from my family, my daughter had a bad accident. Lowri, while training for her gymnastic competition this week, fell from the high beams and sadly fractured her arm.
She has had a pin inserted into it and will be out of action for a few weeks.
She had surgery over the weekend and was pretty down after realizing that she will miss her first competition. I keep saying to her there will be plenty more for her if she continues to work hard like she does.
