RADNOR Ladies will take a massive step towards achieving their promotion dream with victory at Dinefwr on Saturday.

Both sides are battling it out at the top of the first division of the South Wales Ladies’ League, with the Llandeilo-based side currently leading the way.

However with Radnor just a point off the pace, with two games in hand, the title could be coming to Mid Wales.

Such a feat would also see the small but ambitious Llandrindod Wells-based club continue their meteoric rise through the pyramid.

In Premier Division Two the club would line-up against the likes of Whitchurch, Rhondda and Barry and would stand just one level below the elite.

Spokesperson Lindsey Jones said: “The entire side has put in a lot of work over the season and have only lost the two league games.

“The top two will go up come the end of the season, so the odds are in our favour, but we must also look to pick up a few more points. We are the league’s top goalscorers and must go into our final four games with confidence.”

Dinefwr A’r Fro this weekend will be followed by a home clashes with Cardiff and Bridgend IIs while a trip to Sue Noakes must also be fitted in by the end of the season.

“Our facilities are up to scratch so all we must do is make sure we get into the top two,” added Jones.
