TNS will bid to vanquish their Welsh Cup heartache when they return to league action at Bala Town tonight (Friday, 7.30pm).
The Saints suffered their first major set-back of the season when they lost a thrilling penalty shoot-out at home to Port Talbot in the quarter-finals of the Welsh Cup last weekend.
However spokesman Gordon Evans is adamant the Saints have the qualities required to bounce back against Bala Town tonight (Friday) and at Carmarthen Town on Tuesday evening.
“Fair play to Port Talbot Town,” said Evans. “They battled over the 120 minutes and deserved to go through. As a club we wish them all the best in the semi-finals and hope they go all the way.
“As for ourselves we are obviously gutted to go out of the cup and as with any professional club we want to get back on track as soon as possible.
“Bala will not be an easy test, in particular as they have a few ex-TNS lads on their books who will be keen to impress.”
Defender Tommy Holmes is the only fitness doubt but should recover in time for The New Saints’ trip to Maes Tegid.
