CAERSWS bid to pull themselves off the bottom of the table, when fellow strugglers Elements Cefn Druids visit on Saturday (2.30pm).

Both sides are adrift at the foot of the table with the Bluebirds now without a goal in their last three games.

Evans said: “We have not being playing badly and we should have got something from our last three games. However we cannot complain because we were punished for our mistakes, which sums up our season.”

Defender Hugh Clarke faces a race against time to recover from a hamstring injury, with the consistent performer struggling to reach match fitness for the weekend.

However Evans is buoyed by the return of defender Steve Rowland from unavailability, while youngster Jacob Smith is also back in contention.

“It will be a bad blow to go into such a big game without Hughie,” said Evans. “He has been our most consistent performer this season.”

Meanwhile Evans pointed to the similarities between the sides ahead of the Druids’ weekend visit.

“They have had a strikingly similar season to ourselves,” said Evans. “I think they too feel a tad hard done by over their rewards from their last few games.”

Meanwhile Caersws will also entertain Gap Connahs Quay in a re-arranged match on Wednesday evening.
