PRESTEIGNE were made to toil before clinching a fourth round clash with old rivals Llanrhaeadr.
The home side were always favourites to progress against a Welshpool side still seeking their first win of the season.
Danny Tolley drilled his side ahead, when the visiting defence failed to clear a Joe Price cross.
Tolley then set-up the second to effectively secure Presteigne’s progress, with his corner converted by Luke Boundford from close range.
A patient Presteigne claimed a third after the interval with Shane Sutton completing a flowing passing move by rounding Dave Walsh to net.
To their credit the visitors refused to capitulate and battled throughout.
