TICKETS are now on sale for the Castle Players’ pantomime Babes in the Wood which will open at Bishops Castle on Thursday, February 18.
This will be the first time the company has worked in the SpArC Theatre, Bishops Castle, with the opening night show at 7pm. Later shows are on Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20, at 7pm and a matinee on the Saturday at 2.30pm.
Castle Players member Catherine Pritchard describes Babes in the Wood as a traditional pantomime with a well-loved mix of goodies and baddies, songs and dance, slapstick and audience participation.
“The unfortunate babes are sent to live with their wicked uncle, who is also the Sheriff of Nottingham.
“When he realises the children have arrived with a substantial inheritance, the sheriff decides to get rid of the pesky pair but is foiled by Robin Hood and his band of merry men,” said Catherine.
Tickets cost £6 for adults and £3 concessions. Call 01588 630321 for details or to book a seat.
