30mph speed limit change in Prees given go ahead 

AN APPLICATION under the Village Speed Limit Programme 2009/10 for a 30mph speed limit in Prees Lower Heath has been approved.

The planning committee meeting in Wem requested a report in 12 months to monitor the effect of the order.

Plans for a residential development comprising 21 houses, extension to existing estate road, formation of landscaped children's play area and erection of boundary fencing on land west of Mill Park, Waymills, Whitchurch was granted.

An application for listed building consent to remove existing ceiling, insert two conservation roof lights, replace existing gable window, repair and restore attic floorboards, improve insulation in attic ceiling and replace two kitchen windows at 32 Shrewsbury Road, Cockshutt was refused.

An application for outline planning permission for the erection of one dwelling and installation of reed bed sewage system at Park View End, Coton, Whitchurch was deferred to the next North Committee (Wem) meeting at the request of the applicant.
Planning permission was refused for the erection of a house on land at 3 Catteralls Lane, Broughall, Whitchurch.

Plans for a detached house at Gadlas Croft, Eastwick Lane, Dudleston Heath, Ellesmere, were approved.

Permission to erect a single storey extension to rear elevation and insertion of dormer window to side roofline of unit 2, The Old School, Chester Road, Grindley Brook, Whitchurch, was refused.

Permission was granted for a change of use of former airfield turning circles to provide B1 Light Industry Use on land adjacent to The Firs, Heath Road, Prees Heath, Whitchurch.
