Warwick at the double

AARON Warwick scored twice as the Grapes celebrated a commanding 3-0 win over Elephant Llanidloes.


Jamie Smart marked his return to action by completing the tally, and rally the Newtown side’s title bid.


The Grapes were aided by the Llanidloes Town Colts collapse in a 2-2 draw at home to improving Elephant Wanderers.


Matthew Jones scored both goals for the Daffodils, while replies from Jamie Grainger and Cliffy Lawson completed the comeback.


Angel Welshpool beat the Pink Elephants 2-0 at the Flash, with Stuart Buckley-Robins and Jake Evans netting, while Abermule celebrated a return to form in a 4-2 victory at home to Churchstoke Reserves.


Phil Ryle, Paul Jaundrell, Anthony Rogers and Simon Rivara were on target for Abermule, while the Marketmen remained in contention throughout with replies from Nick Lewis and Ricki Smith.
