Machynlleth will be hosting its first ever LGBTQ Pride event this spring as a team of volunteers have begun fundraising towards the event.

Having launched a campaign in March to raise funds for a Machynlleth Pride, a team of volunteers have managed to raise more than £900 towards the event, which is scheduled to be held on May 18.

The event, titled ‘Balchder Pride Mach’, will involve an all ages picnic in front of Y Plas on Saturday, May 18, from 11am to 3pm, which will feature workshops, stalls and live music. This will be followed by an event at 7pm in Wynnstay Arms Hotel with music, drag and cabaret.
