Welshpool 10k Run returned for its third year as hundreds of runners took to the Mid Wales route.
As many as 600 runners took part in the annual event, now in its third year on Sunday, March 24. Setting off from the start line on Broad Street for a route that took them around Berriew Road, Red Lane and Powis Castle Estate.
Race organiser Alan Lewis from Adrenaline Sporting Events said: “I’m thrilled to bits with how the 2023 event went. It was an absolutely mega day.
“The weather this year was excellent, clear skies with a gentle breeze, which was absolutely perfect for running.

“The better weather also meant we had more people turning out in the crowd, with more people to cheer the runners on.
"It the community out in full force to support the 10k, which made the race even better than it was in 2022 and 2023. We’re just overwhelmed.
“We also had great feedback from runners, including one review that told us he’d been running races like this since 2011 and told us this was one of his favourites, as well as that he’d be coming back year. It’s just fantastic to hear.”
