Police are appealing for the public’s help in finding a man on the run.
Dean Mayze, 36, is wanted in connection with an assault using a “corrosive substance” in Abercrave, in south Powys, on December 10, 2022.
He had been due to appear at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates’ Court on January 8, but an arrest warrant was issued after he failed to attend.
“We are appealing for information to help find Dean Mayze,” said Dyfed-Powys Police in a statement.
“He was summoned to appear at Merthyr Magistrates Court on the 8th January 2024 on a charge of ‘grievous bodily harm’, but he did not attend. A court warrant has been issued for his arrest.
“The incident under investigation is an allegation of assault involving a corrosive substance in Abercrave, Powys, on 10 December 2022.
“The 36-year-old has links to the south Powys area as well as London, Kent and Hampshire.
“Have you seen Dean, or do you have information that might help us find him? Please, let us know.”
