Drivers on a Mid Wales road could be faced with a lengthy diversion as it is set to close at two points later this month.

Starting on March 13, overnight road closures will be enforced on the A470 from at two points near Machynlleth.

The road will be closed between 7pm and 7am as essential carriageway resurfacing work will be taking place at two locations on the road.

The road will be closed at Cwm Llinau village between March 13 and March 20, then it will be closed at Cemmaes village between March 18 and March 27.

OTHER NEWS:

According to Traffic Wales, arrangements will be put in place to allow customers and workers to access and leave the properties within the closure but this may involve the contractor moving equipment or making working areas safe for members of the public and this may take a short time to implement.

Drivers are being advised to allow extra time for your journeys.
