A small village in Northern Powys has made a donation of £2,000 for a Breast Cancer charity from funds raised in 2023.

Llanfihangel-yng-Ngwynfa raised £2,000 of much needed funds in the ongoing fight against Breast Cancer, donating the money to the charity Breast Cancer Now, a charity that provides research and life-changing care for people affected by breast cancer

The money was raised through two events, the first being a village walk held last September,  and a Darts and Dominoes Tournament held just before Christmas.

The walk, organised by Emyr and Val Roberts, featured two routes around the village and was enjoyed by over 50 walkers, while the Darts and Dominoes tournament was held at the Goat Inn through the permission of Menna Rowlands, and was organised by Gwyndaf Evans and a team of helpers.

The four chief organisers of the events gathered at the Goat Inn to oversee the final total and send off a cheque for £2,000, as well as adding that they would like to thank everyone for their support.
