Llanfair Caereinion Christmas Lights contest winners in 2008.
Gungrog Nursery and Infants School in Welshpool was awarded the Welsh Food Hygiene Award Silver Standard in 2008.
The Bwlch-y-cibau and Llanfyllin NSPCC raised £409 from a Pancake Party held in the Old School, Bwlch-y-cibau in 2008.
Welshpool High School teachers Ceinwen Morris and Ceri Broughall both completed the New York Marathon in 2008 with pupils and other staff helping raise £1,200 for the Macmillan Cancer Nurses charity.
