POLICE are investigating the theft of a laptop from a Powys pub, with the landlord describing the crime as “brazen”.
The theft, which is believed to have occurred at around 10pm on November 17, occurred at the Dragon Inn, Crickhowell.
The incident came to light after the Dragon Inn put a post out on Facebook this week, with images capturing a couple they believe took a laptop belonging to the pub during a visit to the pub.
Dragon Inn landlord Gareth Rowe said: “As far as I'm concerned it's so hard to make ends meet in hospitality at the moment, not only is it theft plain and simple, its things like this that make it so hard for us at the moment.
“We need people's support in hospitality so people can continue to enjoy coming out, not this.”
Dyfed Powys Police said: “We received a report on November 19 of a laptop having been stolen from the Dragon Inn on November 17, at around 22.15pm. Enquiries are ongoing.”
