JASON Oswell has made a sensational return to Newtown.

Oswell has terrace hero status at Latham Park after starring in the club's 2015 European adventure.

Oswell signed for the Robins in the summer of 2014 after a short spell with fellow Cymru Premier League club Airbus.

Oswel played a key role in run towards European qualification in 2015  and played in all four Europa League games that summer, scoring in both the home and away legs against Maltese club Valetta.

The forward scored 50 goals in his three season at Latham Park which earned him a much deserved move to Stockport County.

Oswell struck 25 goals and bagged the player of the season award to earn a move to Morecambe FC before spells at Wrexham and AFC Telford United.

Newtown manager Chris Hughes said: "‘We’re absolutely delighted to welcome Jase back.

"All of the supporters will remember what Jason did in his three seasons with us and we’re excited to seeing him reunite with Aaron Williams to form what we hope will be a prolific partnership.

Oswell was also delighted to return to Latham Park.

“I’m delighted to be back," he said. "Once I’d deicided to leave Telford there was only one club that I wanted to play for.  I can’t wait for the season to start.”
