A time capsule has been "buried" in a Newtown school attic to mark King Charles III's coronation.
Treowen Primary School's Breakfast Club filled a Quality Street box with memories and drawings to celebrate the big occasion. The children have decided to reopen the time capsule in May 2024.
Breakfast Club leader Tracy Ann Jones said: "I suggested a time capsule, and they just ran with it. They’ve put their memories of the year into the time capsule and they want to open in 2024.
“I’m so proud of them. They come every morning with smiles on their faces. They are amazing children.”
Celebrations including making Union Jack flags and a danceathon on Friday (May 5) to mark the King's Coronation was also special because it was more than three years since children from all classes mixed together after restrictions were lifted following the coronavirus pandemic.
