Baaba Ali, Welshpool

The inventors of a truly unique takeaway meal, the Pizza Burger -  burger patties and kebab meat stuffed in a pizza.

They also offer a number of great kebab options for those want something a little more restrained including the highly rated Sar Beni which consists of “freshly baked thin base with lamb mince, vegetables & spices cooked in the oven, served with salad, sauce and lemon juice.”

One reviewer said: “Never visited before but now a fan. The staff are very friendly, the food is freshly prepared and good size portions, a little pricey but the best kebabs my husband and I have ever tasted. The chicken is proper chicken on proper skewers not the processed slab you usually get.”

Another said: “Sar beni, shish, kofte all tasty as hell and at decent prices. Been there quite a few times and won't stop going any time soon.”

Others agreed and said: “Their pizza burger is an unholy matrimony of burger patties and kebab meat stuffed inside the base of a cheese pizza. Try it out if you're feeling like a total glutton. Consistent and decent quality for everything they serve. Staff are very accommodating and even let me pay the following day once after I forgot my wallet, because they only take cash.”
