Maldwyn Harriers maintained their bright start to the Shropshire Cross Country League season with a number of top displays in Much Wenlock last weekend.
The Newtown based Harriers are enjoying a stellar season which saw a round of the North Wales Cross Country Championships held in Dolerw Park last month.
Athletes have continued to apply themselves in training in their dream of becoming the next Andy Davies who emerged through the Harriers set up to rise to the ranks to British international.
Maddie Griffiths topped the under 17s women’s race with clubmate Aled Breeze also winning the under 17s boys race, just ahead of Finley Cullen who ended second.

Maddie Hughes just missed out on top spot in the under 15s and had to be content with second place while McKenzie McCourt claimed third place on the podium.
Olivia Morgan just missed out on a podium place, crossing the line in fourth spot.
Several of the club’s younger members were also gaining race experience in respective under 11s races which further bodes well for the club’s future.
Enya Rees ended 26th in the girls race while Oskar Ledger-Münnich was 13th and Rhydian Freeman ended 22nd in the boys race as the trio earned invaluable race time.
