BOW Street came out on top in an 11 goal thriller against Bangor 1876 to seal their place in the second round of the JD Welsh Cup this afternoon.

Street raced ahead with early goals from Rhydian Davies, Ben Davies and Dafydd Carruthers before Bangor reduced the arrears through Cameron Barry.

Rhydian Davies' second penalty of the afternoon restored Street's three goal cushion before Corrig McGonigle struck back for Bangor on half-time.

Tom Clarke further reduced the arrears after the break before Tom Roberts netted for Street on the hour with Gethin Thomas pulling a goal back for the visitors with 14 minutes remaining.

McGonigle levelled from the penalty spot with seconds remaining only for Rhydian Davies to complete his hat-trick in injury time to seal Street's 6-5 win.

Llanfair United slipped to their first defeat of the season as their JD Welsh Cup adventure came to an end with a 2-1 defeat at home to Llanuwchllyn.

The visitors led through Sam Evans' 10th minute strike but United were level by the break with Nyasha Mwamuka on target with Llanuwchllyn regaining the lead on the hour with Daniel Roberts netting the ultimate winner.

Llandrindod Wells proved no match for JD Cymru South side Trefelin with a 5-0 defeat on the road completed by two goals from Mark Jones and further strikes from John Hall, Rian Piper and and a James Barker own goal.

Elsewhere Brecon Corries crashed to a 6-2 defeat at Pencoed Athletic with Jack Delve inspiring the hosts with a hat-trick.

Further goals from Jacob Sawyer, Harry Davies and Jordan Gittins ensured no way back for the Corries who replied with two goals from Joel Evans.

Meanwhile a solitary strike from Chris Hibbert consigned Llanidloes Town to a 1-0 defeat at home to Gresford Athletic.

Penparcau also went out following a 3-1 defeat at home to Rhyl 1879 who played 85 minutes with 10 men following the early dismissal of Jordan Worthington.

Alex Jones fired Rhyl ahead with a 32nd minute penalty with Mattie Davies restoring parity for Arky before the break before an Andy Gittins own goal and Kiean Ellis strike ensured the north Wales their ticket for the next round.

Jack Perry proved the penalty shoot-out hero as Caersws prevailed 4-3 winners at Penrhyncoch after the match ended 1-1.

Neil Mitchell broke the deadlock for the Bluebirds before the break with Penrhyncoch levelling on the hour through Liam Lewis to take the tie to penalties where Perry emerged the hero.
