Spar Mid Wales League Two.
BORTH United and Newbridge served up a 10 goal thriller as honours ended even in a 5-5 draw in Spar Mid Wales League Two.
The match was switched to Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue ground due to waterlogged pitch at Uppingham Park with Borth taking the early initiative.
Liam Lewis had twice given Borth the lead before Dafydd Powell and Aeron Powell levelled for the Bridgemen.
Alfie Stonefield fired the Bridgemen ahead for the first time in the game before Lewis completed his hat-trick to restore parity.
The goals continued to come after the break with Lyndon Jones firing Newbridge ahead only for Ryan Davies to strike twice to give Borth a slender lead.
However Newbridge were not to be denied a deserved share of the spoils and saved a point as Stonefield struck late on.
Meanwhile league leaders Kerry now need one more win from their remaining three games to secure promotion following a 3-1 victory at Dyffryn Banw.
Goals from Luke Mumford, Darryl McWatt and Luke Vickers ensured the Lambs prevailed with Alan Williams' reply keeping the hosts in contention.
Churchstoke maintained their own slim chances of promotion with a 2-1 win at Churchstoke.
Goals from Omer Bozdag and Max McLaughlin proved just enough for Churchstoke with the hosts replying through Stuart Emberton.
Meanwhile two goals from Alistair Palmer earned Aberystwyth University the spoils in a 2-0 win over Llansantffraid Village while a waterlogged pitch put paid to Dolgellau’s home clash with Four Crosses.
