CARRIE Jones’ whirlwind year continued after the teenager was selected to represent Wales in the Bob Docherty Tournament next month.
The talented footballer’s performances for Llanfair Caereinion High School has helped the club’s under 13s girls side reach the semi-finals of the Welsh Schools Cup.
Jones has also impressed in training camps with the Welsh set-up and will now link-up with the Dragons squad for the six team tournament in Dublin next month.
Wales, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland will be competing from April 9-12.
Jones is one of only two players from North Wales to make the cut and the only Powys player while also being the youngest player in the squad.
