LLANFAIR United outclassed Penrhyncoch 9-1 in the first leg of the Central Wales Women’s Cup at Cae Baker.

United wasted no time in breaking the deadlock with Sarah Ellis netting twice in the opening 10 minutes before the hosts reduced the arrears following a rare attack.

United responded with Gemma Jones netting twice with the visitors continuing to dominate as Nora Davies struck the bar before Nia Ellis added a fifth on the stroke of half-time.

Mary Griffiths joined the rout after the break, netting twice while also setting up Davies to score and Jones to complete her hat-trick and United’s tally late on.

United will face either Aberystwyth Town or Aberystwyth University in the final.
