COBRA suffered last minute heartache at the hands of Caernarfon who prevailed courtesy of a last gasp converted try.
The result deprived the Meifod side of much needed points in their battle against the drop while set-up a huge trip to fellow strugglers Bethesda next week.
COBRA belied their lowly league standing by more than matching the visiting North Wales side.
COBRA’s dominated the scrum and came tp dictate proceedings with outside half Harry Jukes making a star turn.
Jukes crossed for a brace of tries while full-back Richard Jones also crossed for a try with Juke converting all three while completing his tally with a brace of penalties.
However the fate of the contest swung on injury to Caernarfon prop which meant the remainder of the game was played out with uncontested scrums.
Having being deprived of their area of dominance the home side came to be pegged back with a try from Dylan Gwynne, converted by Dominic Yau who also kicked three penalties.
In the last play of the game the COBRA defence was breached once more as Yau burst through for a try before adding the conversion to steal victory by the slenderest of margins.
