League split confusion for regional rugby

THE region’s rugby clubs were still in limbo just days before the scheduled start of the second phase of the North Wales rugby season.

The top four sides from the regional second divisions had been set to merge into a championship conference to decide promotion to the first division.

However due to clubs failing to fulfil their first phase fixtures despite many being played as double headers the composition of the league was in question just three days before its scheduled start.
