A TREGYNON man has admitted three assaults on the same person on one night out.
Christopher William Wright, 26, appeared at Welshpool Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, when he admitted two assaults and causing actual bodily harm to Carwyn Hoyle.
Helen Tench, prosecuting, told the court that Wright had been drinking at the Angel pub in Welshpool on December 8, 2016, when there was an altercation between the two men.
At one point, Wright punched Mr Hoyle, which was captured on CCTV.
When Mr Hoyle was asked to leave, Wright followed and launched an attack outside the pub.
This included kicking Mr Hoyle in the head while he was lying on the floor.
Later in the evening, there was a further assault at a taxi rank.
Robert Hanratty, for Wright, said Mr Hoyle did not support the prosecution and there was no complaint of any injury.
Mr Hanratty added: “He is a family man, he used to run his own business.
“I have got references from local business people and a local councillor.
“This outburst while under the influence of drink is out of keeping with his character.”
Magistrates sent the case to Mold Crown Court for sentencing, where Wright will appear on March 23.
