A COUNTY councillor has attacked other councillors for raising council tax, stating it has gone up over £200 under the indepedent led council.
Cllr Gary Price, threatened in a recent meeting to name all the 35 councillors who voted in favour of another 3.9 per cent council tax increase in the coming year.
In a video posted on Cllr Price’s YouTube page last week, he said: “35 councillors have supported a council tax increase of 3.9 per cent.
“That means for this term of the council, the independent led council has increased council tax by 21.65 per cent.
“That means council tax on an average band D property has gone up by £216.81.
“This doesn’t take into account increases from community and town councils, and the local councils have taken on services from PCC and Dyfed-Powys Police.”
Cllr Price then again threatened to name all the councillors, before posting a picture of every one of the 35 councillors who voted for the tax increase.
It comes shortly before the Llandrindod Wells North County Councillor is due to appear before the Adjudication Panel for Wales.
He was suspended back in November 2016, for the second time in three years, for breaking the members’ code of conduct.
He was given a right to appeal, and following the appeal his case will now go before the panel for Wales, over Tuesday and Wednesday, March 7 and 8.
