THE Stead and Simpson shoe store on Broad Street, Welshpool, is set to close down in the coming months.
Closing down sale signs have appeared in the windows in recent weeks and a spokesperson has now confirmed that the store is to close down.
A date for closure has not been confirmed, nor has the amount of potential job losses.
A spokesperson for Shoezone, the company which owns Stead and Simpson, said: “We are leaving our current site on Broad Street and there are no firm plans for a move to any other site in the area.
“There is no confirmed date for the closure, but we anticipate it will be in the next couple of months.”
