Tractor tyres slashed near Newtown during crucial harvest period

THE tyres of a tractor were slashed and hay bales cut open in an attack during the busy harvest period for farmers.

Overnight July 26 and 25 2012 vandals went to a field above Bwlch Y Ffridd, Newtown and slashed the tyres of a tractor parked in the field.

Dyfed-Powys Police say that they have also cut the string around 80 bails of hay that were in the field.
