A MOTORIST who was found to be driving under the influence of cannabis in northern Powys last week was stopped less than a month ago for the same offence.
Dyfed Powys Police said officers pulled over a driver near Llansilin on Friday, April 8, giving chase after the vehicle had originally failed to stop. Once they were stopped, police conducted a roadside drug wipe which proved positive for cannabis – the force said the driver had only been stopped three weeks earlier for the same offence.
“North Powys: Vehicle failed to stop near to Llansilin. Driver stopped only three weeks ago for similar offences,” tweeted Dyfed Powys Police’s Roads Policing Unit.
“Positive drug swipe, cannabis. Failed to provide in custody, awaiting interview in morning.”
