A MOTORIST said to be driving “erratically” through a Powys village collided with a parked car before fleeing, injured, on foot.

Police revealed the male driver of the Volkswagen Golf was located and arrested shortly after the incident, which occurred in Penybont, near Llandrindod Wells, on Tuesday evening, September 7.

The driver was taken to hospital for medical treatment, the police said. Police also confirmed the passenger of the parked car – a Citroen Berlingo – was taken to hospital. The passenger was reported to be a child but the hospital trip was just a precaution, police said.
