International archer Danielle Brown MBE visited Ysgol Trefonnen primary school in Llandrindod Wells on Monday, October 1.
Danielle is a double Paralympic gold medalist in archery and three time World Champion.
She currently holds all 12 Paralympic world records and was ranked world number one for her entire career.
PE teacher Cath James, who arranged the visit, said: "The pupils at Ysgol Trefonnen had a wonderful morning with paralympic athlete Danielle Brown."
The children took part in a range of exercises with the gold medalist, who then gave a talk to the pupils.
"Danielle lead an inspiration assembly about being the best you can be and being proud of yourself," Ms James said.
Danielle visited the school as part of Sports for Schools, a scheme which was set up in 2005 by former Great Britain gymnast, Ben Brown.
Sports for Schools brings the country’s top athletes into primary schools to inspire children across the UK to get involved in sport.
Sports for Schools runs inspiring fitness events at over 1200 schools a year across the UK, reaching around 320,000 children. Each event is hosted by a ‘Sportivater’ and led by a top international athlete who has represented Britain at one of the world’s top championships or Olympic games.
