A FORMER shop looks set to be turned into a holiday accommodation.
Rothesay Estates Limited applied for permission to renovate and change the use of a former shop at a post office in Ffordd y Llan, Cilcain, in May.
The development would see the site be converted into a one bedroom holiday let with a garden area.
A report to Flintshire Council's planning committee, which will meet on Wednesday, recommends permission be granted for the scheme.
Cilcain Community Council objected to the plans for a number of reason including the provision of parking, a lack of footway for pedestrians in Glascoed and vehicles parking outside the development would obscure the visibility of vehicles exiting the Glascoed Estate.
The report explains: "The proposal has been designed in a way as to require very little
external changes to the current shop unit.
"The proposal is acceptable and in accordance with all relevant unitary development plan policies."
It adds it is not considered the development would "unduly impact upon neighbouring living conditions with particular regard to noise, disturbance and privacy."
