A FLINTSHIRE community choir are recording a track to raise money for the homeless.

Vocalize choir, based in Saltney, have written a song titled 'Make a Difference Today', which and they will hit the recording studio in the coming weeks.

All the proceeds from the sale of the single will go to the Chester Aid to the Homeless charity. They are a charity who support homeless people by providing them with hot food and drink, making shower and laundry facilities available, clothing store, medical services, benefit and accommodation information, advice and guidance.

It is a charity run by volunteers and they rely solely on donations from the public.

Vocalize choir formed in 2011 under the direction of Lauren Faulkner. Their numbers have grown over the years, and they have about 40 members.

Lauren Faulkner, Founder and Director of Vocalize choir, said: ''As a choir we aim to diminish the preconceived image of the homeless as being something they brought on themselves, anyone of us could find ourselves in that position.

''We will be selling our single 'Make a Difference Today' in an attempt to raise awareness of the plight of homeless and to help raise much needed funds for this cause. All profits will go to Chester Aid for the Homeless.''
