TWO people have been taken to hospital after being swept off their feet in Llandudno. 

Storm Ali is currently wreaking havoc across the North Wales coast.

North Wales Police and the Welsh Ambulance Service (WAS) attended Mostyn Street where two people had been reportedly knocked over by powerful winds.

A Welsh Ambulabce Service spokesperson said: "We were called today (September 19, 2018) at approximately 11.45am to an incident on Mostyn Street in Llandudno.

"We responded with one rapid response vehicle, two emergency ambulances and crews were supported by the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service (EMRTS) and Critical Care Practitioners. 

"Two patients were taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital, Rhyl.”

The Met Office have issued a warning for today between 6am and 10pm.

Ali has brought a spell of very windy weather with winds of 50-60 mph possible inland.
