A MAN was arrested after driving "erratically" along the A55 between Abergele and Pensarn.

A red Peugeot 207 was seen driving in an unpredictable manner between 12.30am and 1am on Thursday, September 13. This happened on the Westbound carriageway of A55 between Junctions 23A and 23.

North Wales Police officers stopped the vehicle and dealt with the male driver. There was an incident following the stop whereby the man entered both West and East bound lanes before he was dealt with.

The man was arrested and charged with offences of driving whilst unfit through drink and drugs, assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

PC Michael Gray said: “There were a number of vehicles passing on the A55 at the time and we would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the manner in which the man was driving.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a white Jaguar who flagged down officers and raised concerns about the manner in which the Peugeot was being driven.”

An appeal for dash cam footgage is being made.
