A 79-year-old woman has died after being hit by a van in Churchstoke on Saturday, September 15.
Dyfed-Powys Police said the woman died at the scene after a collision involved a Ford Transit van near The Midcounties Co-operative, formerly Harry Tuffins.
Her next of kin and H.M. Coroner have been informed.
The A489 between Churchstoke and Snead was closed due to the serious road traffic collision with diversions put in place for several hours. It has since reopened.
"Our thoughts are with the family of the 79-year-old woman who died," said a Dyfed-Powys Police spokesperson.
